BIOGRAFÍA

René Vásquez artista chileno, es Licenciado en la Escuela de Creación audiovisual de la Universidad Austral de Chile, además, cursó, un semestre de «Intercultural Communication» en la Universidad de Jyväskylä de Finlandia.

Se desenvuelve principalmente trabajando como realizador en diseño sonoro, edición y posproducción audiovisual y, también como docente del área. Aquí florecen intereses en la gestión cultural que lo han llevado a participar en proyectos etnográficos como realizador de documentales y material de apoyo audiovisual para proyectos de investigación, manteniéndose, además, permanentemente involucrado en el área de educación y pedagogía, trabajando como asistente de profesores, así como participando durante el desarrollo de talleres y residencias para la educación infantil.

Durante el año 2023 trabaja como director y diseñador sonoro en el cortometraje de animación BOSQUE, consiguiendo así el titularse como Creador Audiovisual. Actualmente candidato a Magister en Comunicaciones en la UACh, Valdivia.

BIOGRAPHY

René Vásquez, Chilean artist, holds a degree from the School of Audiovisual Creation at the Universidad Austral de Chile, and also completed a semester in Intercultural Communication at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.

He primarily works as a creator in sound design, audiovisual editing, and post-production, while also teaching in these areas. His interests in cultural management have led him to participate in ethnographic projects as a documentary filmmaker and producer of audiovisual materials for research initiatives. He remains consistently engaged in education and pedagogy, collaborating as a teaching assistant and contributing to workshops and residencies focused on childhood education.

In 2023, he worked as director and sound designer for the animated short film Bosque, through which he obtained his degree as an Audiovisual Creator. He is currently a candidate for a Masters degree in Communications at the Universidad Austral de Chile in Valdivia.
