BIOGRAFÍA
Yto Aranda. Artista medial chilena, Licenciada en Artes, Universidad de Chile, ha desarrollado una destacada trayectoria en el cruce entre arte, naturaleza y tecnología. Reconocida como la primera mujer artista digital en Chile, su trabajo transita desde la pintura tradicional hacia propuestas tecnológicas innovadoras.
Participación constante en encuentros de arte medial, como Bienal de Artes Mediales de Santiago, Asimtria, Perú y los simposios ISEA, además de dos participaciones en la Bienal de La Habana, donde presentó su obra Radix Sapiens (2024/25).
Su producción incluye obras significativas como el mural interactivo (((KO))) Ɛ>-<((aQua_esfera))>-<3 en el Metro de Santiago (2017). Desde 2015 desarrolla Rao Caya, laboratorio natural en el bosque esclerófilo (www.raocaya.cl).
En 1999 fundó Escáner Cultural (art.escaner.cl), revista digital que continúa vigente. Actualmente desarrolla ~~~desde la raíz~~~, un proyecto Fondart. En 2028 se publica el libro «Yto: Del Pigmento al Electrón» escrito por Valeria Radrigán.

Yto Aranda. Chilean media artist, she is Fine Arts graduate from the University of Chile, has built a distinguished career at the intersection of art, nature, and technology. Recognized as the first female digital artist in Chile, her work transitions from traditional painting to innovative technological proposals.
She is a constant participant in media art gatherings, such as the Santiago Media Arts Biennial, Asimtria (Peru), and ISEA symposia, in addition to two participations in the Havana Biennial, where she presented her work Radix Sapiens (2024/25).
Her production includes significant works such as the interactive mural (((KO))) Ɛ>-<((aQua_esfera))>-<3 at the Santiago Metro (2017). Since 2015, she has been developing Rao Caya, a natural laboratory in the sclerophyll forest (www.raocaya.cl).
In 1999, she founded Escáner Cultural (art.escaner.cl), a digital magazine that remains active to this day.She is currently developing ~~~desde la raíz~~~, a Fondart-funded project. In 2028, the book «Yto: From Pigment to Electron,» written by Valeria Radrigán, will be published.
